Massage therapists in Ontario must be registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Tanya Meyers, RMT is a member in good standing with the College and is also a member of the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.

Why Take an Infant Massage Class?
There’s no wrong way to massage your baby — even simple, natural touches are beneficial. However, learning from a trained RMT can give you helpful tips and techniques to make massage even more effective. You’ll also learn specific methods, like proper abdominal massage, where the right pressure and direction can make a big difference.

Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage therapy can provide support for your changing posture by improving alignment, decreases muscle imbalances, helping to regulate fluid balance and providing time for you to relax and process all of the changes occurring in your body and your life.
Some of the benefits of pregnancy massage are:

- Relief of muscular tension and spasms

- Assistance in pain relief for any sciatic pain or other nerve compression that may arise during pregnancy

In her history as an instructor at Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic for 18 years, Tanya supervised the High Risks Obstetrics clinic at Sunnybrook Hospital in pregnancy massage, labour/birth support, postpartum massage and infant massage instruction.

Pediatric Massage
Massage therapy supports wellness at every age—including children. Shorter appointments (30 or 45 minutes) are available for those under 12, as a full hour may not be necessary.

Better Birthing — Labour Support Consultation
This session combines hands-on treatment with practical education. You’ll receive a pregnancy massage while your RMT guides you and your partner through the stages of labour and delivery. It includes practical tips, comfort techniques, and hands-on support strategies to help your partner assist you effectively during childbirth. This evidence-based session is a great way to prepare for labour.
With over 20 years of experience as a Birth Doula and Massage Therapist, Tanya offers expert guidance, personalized instruction, and answers to your questions. This consultation is ideal for first-time parents or as a refresher for those with previous birth experience. Each session is tailored to your specific needs and birth history.
In-Person:
A 90-minute massage therapy session with your partner present. As it’s provided within the scope of Registered Massage Therapy, it may be covered by your extended health benefits.
Online/Virtual:
A 60-minute virtual consultation (no massage) focusing on massage techniques and comfort measures for labour. Coverage depends on your provider’s telehealth policy—please check with them directly.
